7 x junge

Make Holocaust Education RELEVANT.

The visit to the 7XJUNGE exhibition was an intensive and unique experience for our delegation.
This exhibition makes despotism, public discrimination, terror, expulsion of personally experienced and illustrate the characteristics of a dictatorship.
The exhibition is divided into seven thematic areas which young people can identify: My room , my family , my store , my papers , my sport , my city , my music . In spacious, unobtrusive and interactive experiential space adolescent realities are presented and compared with the history.
The students were divided into 3 mixed groups (Germans, Polish, Israeli-Jews and Israeli-Arabian youth)
Each group went with a different guide through the exhibition activities which were prepared specially to work on the cultural diversity of the group, focusing in our exchange topic "Discrimination: Watch out!"
The activities last for 4 intensive hours.
The activities dealt with the topics:
·        Individual discrimination
·        Groups discrimination
·        Actual and historical discrimination in Germany, Poland and Israel (Nazism, Neo-Nazism, Price tag policy, European Islam-phobia, Anti-Semitism…etc)
